College has its fair share of challenges, but a few clever tricks and tips can make a big difference.

Each week, a fellow student will share a life hack that has helped them navigate campus life, whether saving money, staying organized, or making dorm living a little easier.

This week, Landon Barbour, a sophomore business major, shares his hack for combating burnout and staying active.

“I play basketball at the RAC every week to keep my mind clear and stay fit,” said Barbour.

Barbour says he played basketball in high school and loves to meet new people to play with on the weekends.

“It’s fun to meet new people and find out they love to play basketball as well. I also like the competition side of basketball and pushing myself,” said Barbour.

Barbour relies heavily on basketball as a way to clear his head and reset before the start of the week. He ensures that he saves time for himself, especially this semester, because he says his classes have gotten more difficult.

“There isn't a downside to playing basketball, because my classes are really hard this semester and playing on the weekends helps me calm my brain when I'm feeling burned out,” said Barbour.

Whether it's playing basketball or making time for yourself, it is important to take it easy every now and then to limit the amount of stress college can cause.

College is tough enough; hacks make it easier. Tune in next week for more tips!
