Tempest is an all-white pitbull owned by Sincerely Southern’s very own Victoria Resto. Victoria adopted Tempest in January 2020 after the passing of her previous dog, Storm. Born on November 30th and just recently turning 5, Tempest can be seen taken out on walks around Statesboro or making guest appearances on Zoom calls with Victoria.

Tempest is described by Resto as a Velcro dog. Despite her 90 pounds, she loves to be anywhere near Victoria, laying on or around her every day. Out of the many quirks that Resto can name, one of her favorites is that Tempest doesn’t tear up any toys that resemble another animal. Instead, she carries them around like a baby and even falls asleep holding them sometimes.

Victoria says Tempest is an emotional support animal who helps her in her daily life, keeping her grounded despite the stresses of college and journalism.

“She always needs to go outside and she always needs to be fed, and I think having that can pull me out of stress for a little bit to make sure she’s always taken care of” Resto says.
