College students have opinions, and they’re not holding back. Whether it’s about school, work, or social life, this generation isn’t afraid to call things out as they see them.
Ren Collier, a recent Georgia Southern graduate, believes that while college was fun, it was not exactly the “best four years of his life”.
“I was juggling classes, a job, and trying to keep myself from getting burned out, which was all hard to do at the same time,” said Collier.
The image of constant fun doesn’t reflect the full picture, as many students struggle to balance academics with social life and working in between. Emily Gay, a senior at Georgia Southern, believes that group projects only add stress to the mix.
“I understand that teachers love group projects, but one person always ends up doing all the work, and presentations are just a waste of time,” said Gay.
Beyond academics, a heated debate between two outspoken groups has emerged over the years. Is Taylor Swift overrated or the greatest of all time? Ty Bridges is among those who believe that Swift is overrated.
“She is an industry plant and is not close to being as good as people say,” said Bridges.
Whether they’re calling out the education system, pushing back on expectations, or sparking pop culture debates, one thing is clear: college students aren’t afraid to speak their minds.
